What the Hades is going on at the local Kingdom Hall?
by AK - Jeff inthe kh that i attended has always held it's meetings on sunday morning, and still does.
even on the days when the co visits there are normally only a handful of cars left in the parking lot after 3 pm, as the co typically quits service and heads home by 3 or 4, and besides, if you are not in his group it is usually 'take a few doors, count an hour, and get home in time to watch the game' attitude.
so today i drive by after work - it is 4 pm when i pass the kingdom hall, and the damned parking lot is just packed - maybe 45 or 50 cars in the lot.

No.1 ; The local council have just installed cameras and banned on street parking for all residents and the residents are panicking cuz they have nowhere else to park.
No. 2; Someone has put up a turn sign pointing toward KH .The sign reads "meat in due season freely available here."

Yea, I remember one time when I was in the troof a catholic guy gave me a catholic book to read and I told him that we are advised not to read that.His reply was "well your faith must be very weak if you are afraid to read that,I would read a Watchtower book and not be afraid of losing my faith." Then I thought he has a very good point; and at that stage of my exit it proved to be another nail in the Whacktower coffin .

Knocking is not a very good piece of journalism for it to be that it needed to be balanced and show the many facets of the cult.All it is basically is a good piece of advertising and a very good PR excersice on behalf of a very negative cult.Really what the witnesses have with this film is pure propagander and if you pardon the hackneyed phrase the Witnesses "must think they have died and gone to heaven" because they have been handed a gift, but by their standards it seems a little bit two faced of them to accept the Knocking DVD if you get my drift.
Would the producer have won accolades if he had given the Nazis the same rose coloured hues,after all we are talking about a dictatorship cult who deliver zilch to enhance mankinds many problems.

Promotional Watchtower stickers.
by edmond dantes insuppose you are a witless and are really keen on putting "theocratic" logos and stickers onto your personal items ,where would you stick them for best effect and can you think of any kingdumb messages you would like to advertise on such items?.

In reply to Blondies comments about the anonymous notes,this illustrates the need for a seperate box in which the brothers and sisters can fully vent their thoughts.The author of the questions or comments could be kept secret if requested and handled just like a question from a Whacktower reader and dealt with on a congregational basis.The subject matter could be discussed in open forum in the KH this would make the meetings a lot more interesting than just studying the W.Tower.
It never ceases to amaze me that people are so willing to give up basic human rights which have been so bloodily fought for through the ages.How can the New World Soc. boast about free speech when they don't even let their members have it.One of the first bells of alarm that I heard after I became a Witless was when a brother said to me, after I brought up an awkward subject, " It's not just the subject but why are you even questioning the society?" He then went on to explain to me that it reflected my "heart"condition. Now that comment speaks volumes about how a great number of people can be made to believe that an ordinary group of mortals can never be brought to account and given unquestioning obedience.To my mind that is so dangerous.

by JimmyPage inso what does everyone think of the wt info from the past year comparing the time of the end to israel's escape from egypt?
it said (paraphrasing):"the wt may even give specific instructions that seem to lead us into the face of danger just as the israelites were led to the red sea with their enemies pursuing them from the other side.
" also what do you think of the past two year texts- "obey god as ruler rather than men" and "stand firm and see the salvation of jehovah"?

Is this the Nazis party you speak of ,? I ask myself .What is this, no freedom of expression ? I thought the Witlesses received praise in Knocking for their work on freedom of speech.I see, so we can speak our mind but not in the Fuhrer's bunker I mean the Kingdom Halle,In that case it's six rasberrys' right in the Fuhrer's face.

Hi On The Way Out,
Yes your right but I still think they should should have a notice pinned up in the hall like they do at that other great commercial enterprise Wallmart ( Asda in the UK) Which says "Tell us what you think we value your comments."
The W.Tower operates a product recall every few years as well, all followers take back all the old broken beliefs in exchange for new ones.It seems to create customer satisfaction with quite a few.
